Xinjiang

It is recommended to take the early flight in the morning and arrive in Kashgar at noon, then check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, Visit Id Kah Square in Kashgar’s old city area. It retains the primitive things of Xinjiang Uygur nationality, including residential buildings, interior decoration, bazaars, handicrafts and delicacies. Of course, the Uygur people on the streets and their authentic Uyghur language are the flavor of local culture. You can also have tea in the century-old teahouse before continuing to visit the Uyghur night market in the evening.

This is a very classic route, where you can see Mr. Tucker National Forest, Baisha Mountain, 7509 meters above sea level of the father of snow mountain – Muztagata, and Kalakuri Lake at the foot of Muztagata, which is magnificent. We will stay in Ta County in the evening, and we can go for a walk on the golden grass beach to watch the sunset which is amazing.

Get up in the morning and then come to the beautiful golden grass beach for a walk; Later, we will return to Kashgar by the original road. When we come to the point with nice views of Ta County, the scenery will be different if the weather is different. Therefore, on the way back, we will take photos, return to Kashgar in the afternoon, and visit the beautiful Kashgar at night.

After breakfast, we will leave Kashgar and arrive at Dawakun Desert Park first. Can you imagine there is a big lake beside the desert? You can have fun on the lake and climb over the dunes by desert car (highly recommended). The second stop is Yarkant County, to visit the Tomb of the King of Yarkhan; Then go to Golden Poplar National Forest in Zepu County. Finally arrive at Yecheng County where is the starting road from Xinjiang to Tibet, also called Zero Kilometers. 

Pack up and depart in the morning, and you will be transferred on the highway, then we will arrive at Hotan at noon, so we can have lunch. After lunch, we go to the Thousand Mile Grape Corridor, which has a history of 1300 years of walnut king tree, can also produce more than 6000 walnuts every year; Then you can visit Attica Bazaar, which is very ethnic, so you must visit; In the evening, visit the night market or rest in the hotel.

Today’s highlight is the desert road crossing. We set out from Hotan, through the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang, known as the “Sea of Death“, a total length of 424 kilometers; After crossing the desert road to Awati County, we go straight to the Daolang tribe to experience the Daolang culture.

After breakfast, depart from Awati County and come to Kizil Thousand Buddha Cave to experience the ancient Qiuci “Western Buddhism” culture. Then continue to drive to Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon for a good visit. In the evening, arrive at Kuqa for accommodation.

You can take a flight back to your home in the morning. Or If you want to go back to Kashgar, you can follow our bus back to Kashgar.
